National Graduate Showcase

What better time to ham it up than at the student runway? Easily the most anticipated show of the week, there were more captivating outfits on and off the catwalk than any other day I've attended. I got street snapped more than ever before in this (which was a bit awkward as I've got a terrible cold and was really sniffly, and the glare at Central Pier made me squinty) - I maintain my theory that as soon as you wear a hat people think you've reinvented the fashion wheel.

The designers showcased were selected from graduates across the country, with a wide spectrum of styles, from menswear to lingerie. RMIT was well represented and it was exciting to see how the designers had developed their collections since we displayed them at the Level 10 exhibition last year. My favourite, however, was Perth designer Celene Bridge, a graduate of Curtin University of Technology, who created fantastically elegant creatures with a 30's vibe, covered in beautiful textures with incredible headpieces.
