controlled mayhem

If my work didn't frequently involve Bunnings, ladders and tromping around in the mud I would dress like this EVERY DAY. Completely flippant, lots of plastic, odd colour combos, shiny can see where I'm going with this. These elements have always appealed, but I think that recently I've had better luck combining them in a way that isn't entirely childish (and not a moment too soon as I'll be 26 in a few weeks, which someone gleefully pointed out means I get categorised as being in my late twenties...yehhhhh thanks. Not that I have any problem with ageing, per say, it's just that bothersome have-I-achieved-what-I'd-hoped-to-by-age-x cloud of social expectation hovering in the background...but I digress). Summer uniform, sorted.

top - zara
skirt - three floor
sandals - urban soul
sunnies - alice euphemia x colony
clutch - christopher kane
rings - toby jones/vintage/estelle deve
earrings - made by me

Noooo! You'll still be in your MID-twenties - I don't reckon late twenties start until 28! Anyway, you look great x.

Yeah, I'll be 27 comeDecember, and I'm not surrendering to 'Late Twenties' until 28. See, Josie said so, and she seems like a switched-on bird.

Loving the plastic-fantastic elements as always :) You've actually inspired me to do a few DIY projects myself...

I LOVE your squid earrings!

I think you should dress like this more often - it's fun to wear exactly what you want :)

That skirt was an excellent investment! I love it.
Live it up now Claire - aging sucks!
