I dug out a pile of African textiles for a shoot the other day, so of course got inspired to work one into my wardrobe. This particular piece is a sarong style (basically a rectangle with a partial seam) which can be worn in any number of ways - I went with an asymmetric skirt this time, but it works into a halter dress or mid length skirt just as easily. I love the aesthetic of traditional African design, the bold prints and punchy colours really lend themselves to being interpreted in new ways. Couldn't resist a bit of 80s bling with this!
